Centaur Theatre Company creates and presents thought-provoking plays that reflect our artistic vision and inspire the Montreal community. In order to continue producing English theatre at its highest level we need support from the community.

Your donation will allow us to present the very best of Canadian playwrights and guarantee that, through our international partnership with companies like Australia’s Melbourne Theatre Co., Ireland’s Abbey Theatre and Washington’s Arena Stage, we can bring you some of the best from the world stages.

Saturday Morning Children’s Series
Wildside Festival of cutting edge works
Theatre of Tomorrow program, which makes theatre accessible for high-school students
Brave New Works Artistic Development Initiative

A vital 20% of Centaur’s overall operating costs must be covered through our direct fundraising efforts.

All donations to Centaur are tax-deductible.

To show our appreciation, we are pleased to offer the benefits and activities outlined on this page. All donors who give $50 and up will join our Director’s Circle and enjoy many attractive benefits. Recent Director’s Circle events have included backstage tours and ‘Actor’s Studio’ style interviews with award-winning theatre artists such as director Richard Donat and actors Rosemary Dunsmore and Omari Newton.

Making a donation to Centaur

There are two ways to make a donation:

Donating by mail: simply make a cheque out to Centaur Foundation for the Performing Arts and mail it to our address at 453 St-François-Xavier, Montreal, QC H2Y 2T1.

However, donors are welcome to earmark their donations to one of the programs above.

To earmark your donations to a specific project, all you need to do is include a note with your donation or inform the Donations Coordinator when you donate by telephone.
